Instead of putting a 17-55mm zoom that everyone can afford, took an EF-S pro is not at a favorable price, which has serious quality control problems. Tamron, however, responded.

This objective is very strong. That certainly could be used for business purposes. Acute 2.8 and above much sharper. After using this objective, the L 17-40mm, and the new EF-S 17-55mm, I can honestly say that Tamron beat Canon at their own game in terms of quality for the money. Great view, great variety, affordable and guaranteed for six years, compared to Canon's weak 1 year warranty. I buy it.

14 of 15 people found this review helpful. 5 No problem! For kkrome25 This is the best adapter I've had for any type of camera. I may use my old Minolta MD Rokkor lens on my Canon EOS 5D MkII. No problems with the adapter to interfere with the functions of the camera. The adapter passes a lens as Canon, Minolta and the target is on the adapter as you would on a Minolta camera. There is a pin on the left (as you face the camera) adapter is pressed to remove the lens. To remove the adapter, use the button on the camera lens release on the right. The opening becomes manual, which means it stays in the opening set before, during and after exposure. That's not a problem at all, bright viewfinder Canon. I keep the lens at F / 8 most of the time, and not at all weak, except in the shade.

This adapter has a lens Fotodiox compensation in the rear, which compensates for the shorter distance in the flange of Canon cameras. Macro can be removed.

Use of this adapter is a very inexpensive way to use different focal length lenses on a Minolta Canon body, avoiding the path of having to buy new lenses for the camera. Because of this, I recommend that the rate and that it is.

It is easy to use and produces clear, sharp photos. I have to turn off the autofocus sometimes, but I think it could be said of any auto-focus camera. The cameras are not as smart as the human eye. I like how I can have full control over aperture and shutter speed (and focus), or I can let the camera control some or all of these functions. There are plenty of other configurable features. At first I bought a Sigma 28-105 lens and just added a 70-300. I'm cooking with gas now! This is a pretty good price for two lenses and the body.

The ability to make three different sizes of photos was a real comfort. With optional panoramic size was able to take a photo of the Eiffel Tower - from top to bottom! The only thing I dislike about this camera is that 3-volt battery must be replaced after about 12 rolls of film (Advantix 25 exposure) were used. Batteries are expensive and it is a real pain to have to die while on an outing. The film is rewound automatically when the battery is low or dead. The zoom lens is wonderful! This camera is well worth the cost to anyone who wants a point and shoot camera with all the features of more than 35 mm.

I've been taking pictures for 36 years with several different points and shooting, seven different Nikon, Hasselblad 500 C / M, and now with a handful of digital. I used a Casio original (<<1mb), an original Sony Mavica (<1mb), a Kodak DC290 (2.1), the Olympus C2100 (2.1), and now the Minolta Dimage 7 (5.24), I chose instead of the Olympus E-10 (4meg). The most important thing I learned is that there is no perfect camera, even the Hasselblad. Each camera has good and bad, depends on the photographer to find out how best to use each camera for the particular topic.

84 of 86 people found this review helpful. 5 Biased opinion By wes Let me start by saying that I teach a digital photography class at the local university, and I've seen / used / taught about all the major brands and many minor brands of digital cameras, and I think all camera manufacturers is a appropriate for different people with different needs. That being the case, the Alpha900 is incredible. The resolution not only record, but the brightness of each pixel is quite good (with the right lens). The image stabilization in a full-frame sensor is the first (and so far, only). 5 frames per second? At 24.6 megapixels? This is a test of knowledge of electronics Sony. The viewfinder is really an example of why "Live View" is more about marketing checklist, and is not really necessary, looking through the viewfinder is a joy.

However, the world is not all roses A900. If you have a collection of Sony / Minolta lenses, I hope we are all full frame. Yes, the A900 supports APS-C lenses, but there is no real advantage for them with this body on other Sony DSLRs. The A900 is "to find focus" better than previous Sony digital SLR, but the location of the focus points are not as well established as other Sony models. Although usually carry an external flash, so the lack of a pop-up flash is not a problem for me, many users is the lack of a being, at least, a nuisance.

And last but not least, is the post-production once the images are out of the camera. If all shoot in RAW (like me), and do much post-production, be prepared to lead his team to the knees. These files are huge, and everything wonderful resolution has a cost, which is the amount of computing power required pure.

Given the few warnings, the Alpha900 really is a great step forward in digital SLR cameras, in many ways. If you can justify the cost of this body, it really is worth having, and you'll be amazed at the amount of detail in a single image can have when nearly 25 megapixels.

September 9 people found the following review helpful. 4 Good buy! For a client Did some research on Amazon, but I do not buy this here as Amazon does not send abroad for electronic products. Anyway, I bought this camera for a week and am really impressed with the first release of the films I've made. As it is now the Christmas season, I took a lot of outdoor pictures at night with all the computers on Christmas lights in the background. The pictures came out very clear, red eyes and very sharp. There are a few modes to choose from, depending on where you are and that is very easy to use. I was back east of Olympus, but I think I'll stick with this. It comes with me for my trip to Hong Kong on Christmas!

Canon S2 By Mrs. Lacey Well, I've searched and searched and read every review possible - so I thought - during the summer, once I decided to leave my Kodak DX4530 and move to something a little more "UMPH." I made a decision on the Canon S2. Due to a confusion of my order was canceled and I had to pick something faster. I did - the Dimage Z6. This camera does everything imaginable! I'm not going to rehash in detail the previous reviews. If you have money and want great images - this is a great investment! The instruction manual is a bit nervous, but with patience you will get it. The Z6 features are endless. Buy and enjoy!

24 of 24 people found this review helpful. 5 Excellent value for money For LambertWM I bought this lens to replace the kit lens that comes with the Sony Alpha 300. I wanted a versatile lens, so there would have to take / change multiple lenses. I am very happy with the results: photos of excellent quality, very easy to use because of the effects of all the 18-200 range.

A few observations: - Although the lens does not feel too heavy, if you point the camera down the lens 'zoom in' due to gravity pulling. Understandable, but sometimes it feels awkward. There is a zoom lock switch, by the way. - If he puts the fight against direct sunlight-cap-thingie back in order (to keep it there), you can not reach the manual focus ring more. Understandable, and documented, but not practical.

Bottomline: very good buy, you must have if you choose to bring up the target.
